The College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry was established in the year 1985 at Anjora, Durg with the mandate to provide education, research and extension in the field of veterinary and animal sciences in Chhattisgarh region. The college has adopted the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) curriculum for B.V.Sc. and A.H. degree programme from the year 1995-1996.

The college runs 5-year UG programme (including internship) leading to B.V.Sc. and A.H. degree. The total seats for UG programme is 36. There are 17 departments as listed below, of which 10 departments offer PG programme.
